The Oxfam FairTrade Company has added organic teabags and chocolate to its portfolio of FairTrade products.
The Darjeeling (rsp: £1,95) and English Breakfast (£1.90) tea bags are grown organically by indigenous communities in the Himalayas, while organic Masca chocolate bars in orange (rsp: £1.75) and cappuccino (£1.90) flavours are made from muscovado sugar and organic cocoa beans from Bolivian farmers.
Both teabags and chocolate are available initially in Oxfam shops, and will reach Sainsbury stores in May.
The Oxfam FairTrade Company aims to support small scale producers in developing countries.
