Following the popularity of Fairtrade bananas, Tesco and Sainsbury are hoping to repeat their success with mangoes.
The two retailers will be joining the Co-op and Waitrose in stocking the fruit which is supplied by leading Fairtrade importer AgroFair UK.
Duncan White, director of the grower owned importer, said: "We are leading the way in beginning a transformation of the fresh fruit section of the supermarkets. We want to see the Fairtrade mark on even more shelves across the country."
Both retailers will stock the Mexican sourced fruit from July.
