Burford Holdings has bought the Fareham Shopping Centre in Hampshire from Lend Lease and Hanover Property Unit Trust for £68.1m. The price reflects an initial yield of 6.9%. Anchor tenants are Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury, Woolworth, BHS and Boots. Annual rent roll is £4.9m. The centre has been the subject of a major facelit but Burford plans to improve it further. Burford is also extending is retail park at Warrington with an additional 40,000 sq ft which will bring total space to 300,000 sq ft and annual rent roll to around £3m. Anchored by Asda with a 70,000 sq ft store, other tenants include Argos, Comet, Wilkinsons, Staples and Superdrug.
