French look to quality The image of the farmed fish sector in general will receive a boost by the launch of a quality charter and trademark for the French fish farming industry by industry body CIPA. The charter has similar objectives to schemes like that of Scottish Quality Salmon, with its key points traceability, product quality, skilled farming and top quality service. France supplies relatively small volumes of farmed seabass and seabream to UK wholesalers, and also turbot, sturgeon and maigre, but the regulations are designed eventually to be rolled out to a wider selection of fish or new species as well as to any technical developments. {{MEAT }}
