Government moves to relax the 20-day standstill rule on livestock has been welcomed by the NFU. The rule, imposed to restrict livestock movement following the FMD outbreak, is being altered to allow farmers to take some breeding stock on to their holdings without being banned from selling other animals for three weeks.
