Vinegar stalwart Sarson’s is planning an on-pack promotion to give away up to 1.9 million free portions of fish and chips.
The promotion, running to coincide with National Chip Week (February 16-24), will be flagged up on-pack and through point-of-sale material.
Consumers will have to send one proof of purchase along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to MKM Marketing and Promotions, which devised and is administering the promotion.
They will then be sent a voucher, valid in more than 150 chip shops, to claim their free portion when they purchase a second one.
Sue Knight, general manager of brand owner Premier Foods, said: “This is the ideal sales promotion initiative, having perfect synergy with product and incentive.”
