A dairy company has solved the conundrum of whether to serve the cheese course before or after pudding by simply mixing the two together.
Churchfields Farmhouse has teamed up with the Stilton Cheese Makers’ Association to launch a Stilton ice cream, in one of the most unusual Christmas food launches.
The company said the product has a subtle cheese flavour with a creamy profile, making it suitable to be eaten with deep fruit flavours and with savoury pastries such as mince pies and Christmas pudding. Unlike traditional products, however, it does not recommend the ice cream is eaten on its own.
The product comes in 500ml tubs (rsp: £4.50) and is currently only available around the Worcester area, although Churchfields said it had the capability to supply the multiples as well.
