Bernard Matthews is bringing new formats and fillings to the savoury pastry fixture with four new products.
Available from next month, two slices ­ cheese & ham, and chargrilled chicken with cheese and leek sauce, and two rolls ­ chargrilled chicken & Mediterranean vegetables and ham & mushroom, all feature light puff pastry.
All four will be available with or without a price flash, rsp: 99p.
Senior product manager Jill Leigh said: "Our research indicated that while traditional flavours were popular, there was also a demand for more exotic variants.
"Too much pastry is seen as a big negative, it is the filling that's important to consumers."
