Cadbury’s first Fairtrade Dairy Milk bars arrive on shop shelves today to potentially add an extra £200m in sales for the charity.

The chocolate giant announced in March that its Dairy Milk brand would get Fairtrade certification, with the new-look bars rolling out today sporting a prominent Fairtrade logo.

The 300 million Dairy Milk bars sold annually would generate an extra £200m of sales for the Fairtrade Foundation, according to the Times.

“This creates a tipping point for Fairtrade with Fairtrade Cadbury Dairy Milk bars available to all, with the same great taste and at no extra cost,” said Kate Harding, trade communications manager at Cadbury.
