New additions to Heinz’s Linda McCartney frozen meat-free range include the brand’s first meal kit product.

The Spicy Vegetable Fajita Kit consists of four flour tortillas and courgettes, mushrooms, onions and peppers in spicy salsa topped with crème fraîche (rsp: £1.99).

It heads a four-strong line-up of newcomers which are rolling out now. The other dishes are Cauliflower Cheese and Creamy Garlic and White Wine Mushroom Pies (both £1.69), and Spicy Wedges and Creamy Garlic Mushroom Dip (£1.49).

Brand manager Pavan Chandra said the new products extended the portfolio into different areas. “They are modern and familiar and the ingredients used represent great taste and high consumer appeal,” he added.

Press ads for the new products are scheduled to join the brand’s current marketing programme.
