The branded salad specialist had been expected to make the move in 2010, but brought the schedule forward to late September following customer interest and positive test feedback.
It is launching snack pack, on-the-go and family sharing formats, with flavours including Fresh Pineapple, Melon Medley and Fruit Medley. Further additions are planned for after the launch, with prices ranging from 65p for the snack packs to £2.49 for the 350g family packs.
"We have had positive feedback on the range, and plan to support it with price promotional and in-store demonstration activity," said MD Mark Newton.
He cited research showing that while three in four consumers bought prepared salads, only one in three did so in the £200m prepared fruit category.
