The long-running strike by Wincanton tanker drivers in January and February this year cost Brobot Petroleum £100,000 in extra fuel and transport.

In its full-year accounts, the company said it had since moved part of its estate over to the BP brand to spread its supply chain and “not to be exposed to such an occurrence again”.

Pre-tax profits fell 70.5% to £238,625 in the year to 31 March, on sales down 6.3% to £110.7m.
