Following the lead of many mainstream chocolate brands, luxury chocolatier Prestat has launched a range of fairly traded chocolate bars.

The four new Finest Selection Chocolate Bean Bars (rsp: £1.80-£2) are made entirely with cocoa beans grown by farmers in the Esoko Market Information Scheme.

This helps individual farmers get the best price for their crops by sending them market information via mobile phone text messages to help them navigate the complex trading markets. Esoko operates across a range of commodities.

Prestat also relaunched its core 'jewel boxes' range last month to celebrate its 35th anniversary of holding the Royal Warrant. The company has also secured new listings in Waitrose, from November, and is working on plans to launch in the US.
