Petrogas, Ireland’s largest Irish independent forecourt retailer, has made the move into into noodle bars as franchise partner to Chopstix Noodle Bar.
Chopstix has 45 restaurants across the UK, serving “healthier” Oriental fusion fast food. The first franchised branch with Petrogas, which operates as Applegreen, opened last week in Galway.
Joe Barrett, chief operations officer with Applegreen said: “Along with our customary food offers our customers can now enjoy a healthier Oriental quick-service restaurant option, which can be enjoyed for lunch or dinner. By adding Chopstix Group UK, this fresh new noodle offer to our portfolio of franchise partners we are giving our customers a wider choice for eating on the go.”
Applegreen already offers a large number of quick- service restaurants, such as Subway, Burger King and Costa Coffee.
Petrogas UK’s operations was seventh in The Grocer’s 13th annual rankings of the UK’s Top 50 independent grocery retailers released last week.
