Bramley apple processor Fourayes plans to increase turnover by 50% in the next five years by expanding its product portfolio.

The £10m business, which supplies processed apples to manufacturers, was examining ways to increase production, said MD Phil Acock. It could also move into other fruit, he added. "We're aiming to hit the £15m barrier in the next five years."

Bramley was proving popular as an ingredient, with sales as an accompaniment to mincemeat doubling to 800 tonnes this year, Acock revealed.
