The Grocer last week revealed that the drinks, which pitch the yogurts giant into a new arena against Yoplait’s Yop brand and Nestlé’s Ski Stopgap, had gone on trial exclusively in Sainsbury.
But Müller has signalled its intention to make Fröot a power sub-brand by adding three flavours of fruit yogurts into the mix, also being trialled by the number three retailer.
Rolling out in 150g pots (rsp: 42p each), three flavours are initially being made available - Strawberry, Raspberry and Passion Fruit - each featuring yogurt topped with a whipped fruity layer.
Müller’s general manager, Andrew Harrison, said: “The Müller Fröot range delivers an intensely fruity experience which will help to enliven the senses of all consumers.
“It is a perfect snack for all the family.”
