French cream cheese brand St Moret is bringing a new name to the kids' cheese snacks sector, with a pair of new products that include a sweet variant.
Kidiboo, characterised on packs by a ghost character, consists of Cheese on Stix a blend of Emmental, soft cheese and cheddar, and strawberry flavour Snax on Stix, which is made from fromage blanc. Both retail at £1.29 for a pack of six.
Listed by Sainsbury next week and rolling out to Tesco in July, each stick carries a puzzle on the wrapper.
Aimed at four to 10-year-olds and designed to help develop problem-solving skills, these include counting and alphabet games and jigsaws. Initially, there will be 64 on offer.
According to the company, the UK offers an opportunity for kids' cheese as consumption here is the lowest in Europe, with one in five children eating no cheese at all.
