Baxters has withdrawn its microwaveable fresh soups range until next year. The six strong range, launched in January this year, was positioned as the closest you can get to home made. Robin Lambie, marketing director, said: "Our fresh soups launch was extremely well received. The experience of using a third party to manufacture products convinced us that we must be in total control of any fresh soup production, in order to maintain Baxters' exceptional production and quality standards. "This is why we have invested £10m in a new state-of-the-art fresh food plant in Grimsby. We made the decision to withdraw our current fresh soups range until such time as the Grimsby plant is up and running next year." {{P&P }}
