Jersey Royal potatoes are back on TV this week with a £1m campaign after a two year absence. Additionally supported in the national media and supermarket magazines, the campaign will run until the end of May. Good growing conditions on the island has meant that harvesting is speeding up and is currently at a rate of 200 tonnes a day. A slight frost has had little effect. Prices on the wholesale markets still keep the crop in the luxury bracket with 10kg Mids making £11 and Ware £13.20. {{FRESH PRODUCE }}
