Britvic is making adult soft drinks brand Fruit Spring the focus for its push into healthier products with a no-added- sugar version.
Responding to what it said was increasing demand for better-for-you products, Britvic is releasing a sugar-free Apple & Cranberry Fruit Spring and has also developed two brand new flavours - Blackcurrant & Raspberry and Orange & Mandarin - in a no-sugar format.
They will sit alongside the standard Apple & Cranberry, Raspberry & Lemon and Apple & Lime Fruit Spring launched early last year.
According to Britvic’s soft drinks report, adult soft drinks rose in value by 20% in 2004 with still drinks growth at 5% [ACNielsen MAT December 25, 2004].
The drinks will hit shelves in July with new labels and a silver cap to add to the premium nature of the brand. The launch will be backed by a £1m three-month ad and promotional campaign from mid-August.
