South African apples and pears are set to be highlighted in a four-week Tesco promotion.
A series of Cape fruit tasting sessions will be held in 100 stores across the UK, supported by recipes and the chance to win a holiday to South Africa.
Laraine Brown, advertising and promotions manager with Capespan, said: “In selected stores there will be demonstrations using Cape fruit to make smoothies and a competition to win 25 smoothie makers.
“Cape fruit advertising will also be featured on all petrol nozzles at Tesco garages throughout the country,” she added.
