Kellogg's plans to promote the Food Standards Agency's campaign to cut average salt consumption to 6g per person per day by 2010 on packs of some of its cereals.

It hoped to expand on its existing salt reduction programme by working with the FSA to develop on-pack material, said Chris Wermann, communications director.

Meanwhile, the FSA has appointed BMRB to carry out research into the effectiveness of signpost labelling systems.
