Dutch brewer Bavaria Beer is introducing an alcohol-free variety to its growing portfolio.
Bavaria Malt is a 0% abv brew that is going into Sainsbury this month, with an rsp of £3.99 for six 330ml bottles.
The company claims it has a more full-bodied taste than low-alcohol beers because it is brewed without alcohol from the beginning of the production process, rather than having alcohol removed at a later stage.
Sarah Swainson, marketing manager at Bavaria Beer, said: “We are launching the beer in the UK market in response to changing consumer tastes as there is a real need for a non-alcohol alternative for drinkers.
“However, we don’t want our customers to compromise on taste and so have ensured that Bavaria Malt is a rich-tasting beer.”
Bavaria Malt is available in 250ml and 330ml bottles and 330ml cans.
