Food tech startup Kitchup, which matches underused commercial kitchens with food businesses, has launched a £100,000 crowdfunding campaign to fund expansion and development of its technology.

Founded by twin entrepreneurs Emma and Charlie Jones in October 2015, Kitchup has built a listing of commercial kitchen spaces in London.

Kitchup’s campaign on Seedrs has already attracted almost £70,000 from 47 investors. The business is giving away a 10% stake, valuing the online managed marketplace at about £1m.

Kitchup currently lists over 80 kitchens across London and its ambition is to build a global network of kitchen spaces. The team will use the £100,000 to improve the technology, expand staff and provide a better experience for their kitchen users and hosts in London
