United Brands is targeting a younger generation of drinkers with the launch of G Port. The port takes its name from the Gilberts brand, owned by the producer Casa Burmester. The six styles of the wine are sold in 50cl bottles and Alistair Mutch, United Brand's sales director, said: "The size provides an affordable trial purchase for those who have yet to enjoy the pleasures of this fortified wine. "It will also appeal to port drinkers who are looking for a change." The styles in the new range are Ruby, Tawny and White (rsp: £6.29-£6.49), 10-year-old Tawny (£9.99-£10.49), LBV (£7.99-£8.49), and Vintage Port (£13.99-£15.99). {{DRINKS }}
