Ernest & Julio Gallo is squeezing more out of its Coastal Vineyards range with the launch of three varietals.

A Syrah, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris have joined the line-up, taking the total number of wines in the portfolio to five.

The Californian company said the Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon varietals, which debuted in 2002, had already proved popular in the £9 to £10 price bracket.

Arthur Miller, brand manager for Coastal Vineyards, said: “Consumers are trading up to higher priced wines and Coastal Vineyards has performed strongly at its recommended price ever since it was launched in 2002.”
