Geeta's Foods is following up a change of brand identity by adding a range of cooking pastes to its sauces. Aimed at consumers "who like to be more adventurous in the kitchen", the company said its five new Curry Creations pastes can be used in a variety of recipes including marinades for seafood or meat, or a base for curries. A spokesman said the range had been developed in response to the company's own customer research which showed that many shoppers wanted more unusual and authentic varieties. The range consists of Kashmiri, Shakuti, Hara Masala, Nizami Korma and Tandoori. They weigh in at 205g except Hara Masala (190g), feed two to three people and have rsps of £1.35-£1.49. The range is free from artificial colours, preservatives and flavourings and is suitable for vegetarians. Several are also gluten free and suitable for vegans. Selected lines are so far available at Sainsbury's and Tesco, the spokesman added. {{P&P }}
