Whisky distiller Glenmorangie saw first half sales rise 10% boosted by its deal to blend and bottle Drambuie liqueur plus its distribution partnership with US maker of Jack Daniels, Brown-Forman.

The maker of single malts including Glenmorangie, Ardbeg and Glen Moray said to September 30, pre-tax profit before exceptionals was £3.91m up from £3.48m, on sales that increased to £30.5m from £27.8m.

Chief executive Paul Neep said: “Our strategic partnership with Brown-Forman, now augmented by our pan-European distribution of Glenmorangie through Bacardi-Martini, will accelerate the development of our brands over the long term.”
