The Goats Do Roam Wine Company, the South African producer of the eponymous wine range, has added another goat to its herd.

The Goatfather 2005, (rsp: £7.99), is a blend of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, matured in French and American oak. "There are few wine brands that have created such endearing personae as the Goats range," said David Gleave, MD of distributor Liberty Wines.

The wines are produced at the Fairview Estate in Paarl, run by Charles Back. The Goatfather will join Goats do Roam, Goat Roti, Goats do Roam in Villages, Bored Doe and Goat Door.
