The quest to add value to milk continues apace with the launch of a new branded ‘healthy living’ milk from Golden Vale Dairy.
The dairy has just launched a new low-fat alternative to semi-skimmed milk called Point 9.
Initially available in two-litre bottles (rsp: 98p), it is a blend of semi-skimmed and skimmed milk which, it claims, has the taste of semi-skimmed milk but contains less than 1% fat. Golden Vale has already won listings for Point 9 in a number of convenience outlets including Spar, Londis and Costcutter, and is negotiating with major multiples. The launch follows a flurry of branded milk launches including a 1% fat milk from Robert Wiseman called The One, Flora Pro-activ milk and a Yeo Valley Organic milk launch (see above).
