Goodfella’s is backing its new Extra Thin pizza range with a marketing push as it extends its supermarket listings.
The products roll out to Morrisons this month, and Asda in October after launching in Sainsbury’s and Tesco earlier this year. The 10-inch pizzas have a 4mm base infused with olive oil and come in mozzarella & pesto pepperoni & chorizo and vegetable & goats cheese.
From this month, the range is being backed with in-store, digital and outdoor activity including six-sheet store posters, Facebook competitions and sampling.
“Extra Thin has proven to be the perfect complement to our existing core range,” said Goodfella’s marketing head Candida Corscadden. “It’s a great product created by listening to what consumers want.” She added that said half the new range’s consumers had come from outside the category.
