Grampian Country Food Group has recruited David Knibbs to fill the newly-created post of group marketing director.
His arrival follows the departure of Alison Cannon, marketing director of Grampian’s chicken division at the end of December to set up her own consultancy business.
Knibbs joins the executive board, reporting to chief executive officer David Salkeld, and will be responsible for developing and implementing the company’s marketing strategy. He was previously commercial head of Leeds United FC.
Other posts held before that include chief executive officer for Bulmers North America and national field sales manager for Mars’ Masterfoods.
Kirsty Taylor has joined Grampian Country Food Group as managing director of its Tesco business unit. Taylor was previously marketing director at Golden Wonder.
