Brazil has the potential to export five million cartons of grapes within the next five years, according to the country's Grape Marketing Board.
This represents a massive increase based on new production areas for red and white seedless varieties coming on stream. This season's current estimate is around 150,000 cartons.
Meanwhile, Californian grape shippers are benefiting from the shortfall in Mediterranean crops this season. Crimson Seedless has proved to be particularly popular with the multiples.
