Diageo Great Britain has promoted Philip Gladman to the new post of head of innovation. He was formerly marketing director for Smirnoff, Archers and Captain Morgan.
Gladman will be responsible for driving Diageo’s innovation in the UK and linking this with the company’s global activities.
Diageo said that innovation, such as the introduction of Smirnoff Ice, Archers Aqua, Baileys Glide and Bell’s Special Reserve, had been pivotal to the company’s growth. Gladman was given the job as a reward for his “superb results”.
Anna Inama joins Diageo from her previous role as marketing director for luxury fragrances at L’Oréal, to take up Gladman’s former position of marketing director. Prior to joining L’Oréal, Inama was European marketing leader for the Mars brand.
