In a trading statement the group said that in the 51 weeks to April 23, its total beer sales by volume had increased 7%.
It added that margins remained strong and that overall performance was in line with expectation.
Greene King also reported a 4% increase in sales of its ale Greene King IPA, a 5% sales increase in Abbot Ale and a 9% increase in Old Speckled Hen.
Rooney Anand, chief executive of Greene King, said: “Trading across the group has been positive and we remain on course to achieve a successful outcome to the year.”
He added: “Going forward, the strength and efficiency of our capital structure will give us greater flexibility to invest for future growth and to enhance shareholder value.”
