Belazu has launched a line of cooking pastes inspired by North African cuisine.

The range, developed by Belazu founder and chef George Bennell, consists of Red Tagine, Green Chermoula, Black Tapenade, Spicy Tomato Murabba and a Roasted Aubergine paste.

Described as ideal for marinating grilled meat and fish, the 90g jars are priced at £2.99 and have rolled out to Waitrose, with Sainsbury’s taking them later this month.

Parent business The Fresh Olive Company hopes that Belazu will increase its sales from £3.5m to £10m over the next few years.
