Knorr is expanding its stock pot format into gravy with a new range.
Knorr Gravy Pots will be available from next month in two flavours - chicken and beef - in packs of four pots (rsp: £1.79) in the same format as Knorr Stock Pots. The launch will be supported by a £4m push this year including print, TV and in-store sampling.
The company said that it hoped the product would appeal to gravy granule users and also those who made their own gravy.
“Knorr Stock Pots had a massive impact on the stock category when we launched them in 2008, and we’re confident our Gravy Pot range will bring double-digit growth to the gravy market,” said Gaelle Bouchard, brand manager for Knorr and Colman’s.
Last month, Premier Foods announced it was launching a stock pots range under its Bisto brand, while Unilever revamped Knorr Stock Pots with a new packaging format and variant.
