Larchwood Foods is hoping to boost sales of cold-pressed rapeseed oil with a new marketing campaign.

The company is using social media and sampling to promote its Mr Hugh’s brand - listed by Tesco and currently rolling out across Asda.

It said the value position of its Mr Hugh’s extra virgin oil - rsp £2.99 for 500ml compared with a market average of £4.10 for 500ml of rapeseed oil [BrandView] - would encourage shoppers to switch from olive oil.
