Grolsch has been given a makeover to reinforce its premium lager credentials.
Rolling out now, the new 300ml bottle and 500ml can designs give greater prominence to the Grolsch Brewery logo. The swing top bottle, imported from Holland, will remain unchanged.
Grolsch’s brand director, Andy Cray, said: “We believe the new packaging gives Grolsch a greater shelf presence in store and greater visibility in outlets and that will have a positive impact on sales.”
The new packaging will be supported as part of Grolsch’s £14m marketing investment throughout 2004. This will include the return of the ‘Alien’ TV ad creative, a £1.1m press and outdoor campaign and sponsorship of the Grolsch Summer Set music festivals, which took place this week in London and Bristol.
