Hancocks is launching an 18-strong low-cost range of confectionery in an effort to attract consumers on a budget.
The Turkish Sölen range will be rolled out across all 15 Hancocks depots, priced 15-39p.
Purchasing director Richard Brittle said the low price was not a reflection of the quality of the products. "Sölen offers independent retailers something different that will return provide good margins," he said.
A small number of the products from the range were trialled last year and "sold out immediately", claimed Brittle.
