Tesco is hoping for a lucky break with Jackpots a new, patriotic range of premium crisps made from Essex potatoes.

Jackpots (rsp: £1.49 per 150g bag) will roll out to 120 Tesco stores throughout East Anglia and London this week in lightly salted, roast beef & horseradish, mature Cheddar & spring onion, sweet Thai chilli and sea salt & balsamic vinegar flavours.

Featuring Union Jack packaging, Jackpots would meet demand for a hand-cooked crisp with strong British provenance, said Robert Strathern, who produces the range from his potato farm in Colchester.
