A popular product mix in the on-trade is being recreated in the take-home market in a joint venture between Yates's and Matthew Clark. Pub goers have been adding Diamond White cider to Yates's Aussie White to create Aussie White Down Under. Aussie White is a muscadet style wine, blended with grape brandy. For the off-trade a 275ml bottle of Diamond White will be sleeved with a 700ml bottle of Yates's Aussie White offering consumers the opportunity to try the mix at home. This will retail at the normal shelf price for Yates's Aussie White, in effect offering the Diamond White free. Peter Hovington, sales Director at Yates's, said: "We have known for years that this combination of drinks has great appeal to consumers across a wide range of ages. "Our confidence in the prospects for this really taking off are shared by the many retailers that have already given this special promotional pack a national or regional listing." Asda and Morrisons are listing the package nationally, and Bargain Booze, CWS, First Quench, United Norwest and Parisa are taking it on regionally. {{DRINKS }}
