Heineken has announced that David Forde, currently managing director of the brewer’s Irish operation, is to become MD of its UK business.

He will take up the role in May following the departure of Stefan Orlowski, who has recently been appointed president of Heineken’s Americas region. Orlowski is replacing retiring US boss John Nicolson - a move that is part of a major shake-up of the global management team as Heineken integrates the Asia Pacific Breweries (APB) business it acquired in September.

Forde started his career with Heineken in Ireland in 1988 and held senior marketing and general management roles in Poland, The Netherlands and UK.
