Jones, who is expected to take up his role in October, joins the company from Coca-Cola Enterprises where he worked for more than 18 years. During that time he held a number of senior commercial and strategic positions in sectors including foodservice and leisure.
Heinz's foodservice division offers caterers and business owners a number of products, including sauces and condiments, frozen desserts, canned products and dressings.

He will be responsible for leading our company's plans for explosive growth in our foodservice business and we are delighted to have him."
Jones' appointment is the latest of several management changes at Heinz UK & Ireland. In May, Woodward was appointed president, replacing Jane Miller, who stepped down due to personal reasons.
And, in July, Suzanne Douglas joined Heinz UK & Ireland from Heinz Australia as its chief marketing officer
