Heinz has teamed up with Diageo to create a Steak & Guinness Casserole soup as part of a raft of new additions to its soups portfolio.

The limited-edition Taste of Home Steak & Guinness Casserole soup (rsp: £1.69) will be available until spring next year in Sainsbury's and Asda. Heinz expects the iconic Guinness colours on pack to appeal to young men.

Heinz is also adding new varieties to its Big Soup and Farmers' Market soup ranges and is revamping its WeightWatchers from Heinz line-up.

The wet ambient soup market is worth £323m a year, according to Nielsen.
