Ella’s Kitchen Smoothie Fruits come in a 90g squeezy pouch and contain 100% organic pasteurised fruit without water, sugar or additives. They aim to appeal to kids directly with two varieties - The Red One (strawberries, bananas, apples and raspberries) and The Yellow One (mangoes, bananas, apples and apricots).
A multipack of five will retail for £2.95 at Sainsbury and will be supported by TV commercials on Nickelodeon.
MD Paul Lindley called Ella’s Kitchen a passionately driven brand: “It is our aim to build a healthy range of natural organic foods for young children that leads to a positive change in children’s eating habits.”
He said that the product had been inspired by the adult smoothie market, while it was also an alternative to sugary fruit children’s snacks.
The smoothies are the first product under the Ella’s Kitchen range, but a baby food range is also planned for launch later in the year.
