Sainsbury has listed Welsh organic carrots grown by Soil Association director Patrick Holden. The carrots will retail at 99p for 750g and will be sold in Sainsbury stores in Wales.
The multiple’s organic produce buyer Rhian Jones said: “In a recent taste test carried out by the Good Housekeeping Institute, organic foods fared better than non-organic in nine out of 11 categories.
“We are delighted to be able to support Patrick and offer consumers a wider choice by stocking his organic carrots.”
Holden’s Welsh organic carrots are grown on a 230-acre farm in west Wales. Holden is a partner in the farm.
