Kleenex is reducing the size of its packaging while retaining the same number and size of tissues.
The company has compressed tissues and taken the air out of boxes to cut pack sizes by a third. Its Original, Balsam, Balsam Fresh, Ultra Soft and Anti-Viral variants are dropping from 69mm high to 46mm, while its Compact Mansize packs will be half the length of the original formats. The new packs, rolling out to Morrisons and Tesco now and other retailers later in the summer, have a larger opening.
Brand owner Kimberly-Clark said the environmental benefits of the move included 29% fewer truck miles and a 28% reduction in carbon emissions.
