This series has to be singled out, if only because it was such an audacious change of image. Along with new packaging featuring baked beans, eggs, tomatoes and cucumbers, these South-park style cartoons updated the Hovis brand's personality overnight. The sepia-tinted boy-on-a-bike ads have been consigned to advertising history. Harry, his friends and his dysfunctional family are definitely icons of the 21st century.
