Already on shelf in Sainsbury, Waitrose and Safeway outlets, the foil-wrapped fruit sticks come in apricot, plum, pineapple, tropical and banana flavours.
The company claims each one contains the equivalent of three times its weight in fresh fruit, has only natural flavourings, no added sugar and less than 0.1g of fat.
The foil packaging is primarily targeted at lunchboxes and kids ‘on the go’.
Paul Sangwin, head of marketing at the products’ UK distributors Humdinger, said: “It’s difficult for parents to persuade children to eat more healthily if there aren’t tasty and genuinely healthy snacks available.
“These will fill a big gap in the market and help persuade families that healthy treats can also be tasty treats.”
